چکیده
Gray's Reinforcement Sensitivity Theory postulates that the behavioral inhibition system (BIS) is responsible for regulating anxiety and fear in response to external stimuli, while activation (BAS) processing positive cues such as rewards. Dickman's model distinguishes dysfunctional impulsivity (DI), characterized by non-reflective decision-making, from functional (FI), which reflects propensity of making quick decisions when advantageous. The aim this study investigate potential BIS/BAS DI/FI explain variance Dark Triad traits. sample included 318 convenient-recruited participants (Mage = 28.67, SDage 8.95; 75.2% females) who completed scales (BIS, BAS Fun Seeking, Reward Responsiveness, Drive), Impulsivity Inventory Short (Machiavellianism, narcissism, psychopathy). Responsiveness Drive were significant predictors Machiavellianism, indicated individuals high on trait could be sensitive reinforcement. BIS, DI psychopathy, all scales, FI narcissism. These results suggest poor inhibition, low impulse control, a strong tendency approach pleasure-oriented activities are factors significantly contribute explaining surface they seen particularly important maladaptive behavior. On other hand, with narcissism may reinforcement, goal-oriented, exhibit impulsivity, allows them capitalize opportunities.
